About us · Edinburgh & West Lothian

Giggles and More Ltd

A Scottish childcare organisation rooted in our communities, helping children feel safe, valued and genuinely cared for.

Who we are

Two kinds of care. One caring community.

We support families at different stages and in different ways. From personalised childcare in your own home to welcoming breakfast and afterschool clubs, our focus is on knowing each child and building warm, lasting partnerships with their family.

In-home childcare · Ages 0–14

Experienced, vetted and qualified childcarers provide nurturing care in familiar surroundings. We carefully match carers to your family and your child’s needs, whether you need newborn support, daily care, occasional help or wrap-around care for older children.

Our Broxburn and Currie clubs offer safe, fun and stimulating care from Early Years through to Primary 7. Breakfast starts from 7:30am and afterschool care runs until 6pm, monday–friday during term time. Holiday Club is also available during school holiday weeks.

Our vision

“Our vision is to see children grow and thrive in their local community — curious, confident and cared for.”

Childhood is precious. Every child deserves to feel safe and celebrated. We want children to look forward to their time with us: making friends, discovering interests and building confidence, while families feel reassured, informed and part of what we do.

A day with Giggles and More

A happy start and finish

Breakfast Club is calm and welcoming, with a healthy breakfast and support for the school day. Afterschool brings time to unwind, enjoy a nutritious snack, play with friends and do homework if children choose.

Led by children’s interests

We listen to what children enjoy and what matters to them. Our varied programme balances outdoor play, arts and crafts, games, reading, quiet time and group activities.

Healthy food, thoughtful care

We follow the Scottish Government’s Setting the Table guidance (2024), providing nutritious, freshly prepared snacks, with water and milk available at all times. We work with each family on dietary requirements, allergies and preferences.

Safe, supervised and secure

Both services are registered with and regulated by the Care Inspectorate under the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010. Our qualified, caring professionals hold current PVG Scheme membership, relevant childcare qualifications, paediatric first aid certification and child protection training.

Our clubs have secure entry and exit arrangements, strict registration and collection procedures, and supervision throughout every session. Premises and activities are regularly risk assessed and reviewed.

Partners with your family

From registration onwards, we are committed to open, honest and warm communication. We share how your child is getting on, important moments from their session and any changes to our service. Your feedback, questions and involvement are always welcome.

In-home childcare policies are emailed to parents upon sign up. Club policies are available on our booking app and can be emailed on request. Our policies are reviewed annually.

Our policies

Growing our community, together

We hope to bring families together through summer parties, bake sales, sports events, Christmas celebrations and creative showcases. These events are future plans and are not yet being delivered. As they develop, we will share arrangements with families well in advance.

Our ambition is for every event to be inclusive and enjoyable, regardless of ability, background or interests, with opportunities for parents, carers and the wider community to get involved.
